A.R. Watson LTD. was founded by Alan Watson in Auckland, a New Zealand based company
established in 1980 to trade as a mechanical engineering construction business,
supplying services to the petroleum, petrochemical and gas industries.
Alan Watson developed and patented the "Watson Air Lift®" Technology of using air
bags to lift above ground storage tanks to allow access for tank foundation reconstruction,
installation of a secondary containment and tank relocation. A.R. Watson has been
lifting and relocating above ground storage tanks for over 27 years and has successfully
completed projects throughout New Zealand, Australia, Asia, Europe and the United
States of America.
In 2007 A.R.Watson Inc. was formed to consolidate A.R.Watson Corporation that was
formed in 1994 and A.R. Watson USA, LLC that was formed in 1996

team of engineers, offering over 50 years of experience, is continually designing
and engineering alternative methods for foundation design with corrosion prevention
and double containment. Lifting and relocating above ground storage tanks and monitoring

engineering problems.
